What is a slab leak? A slab leak is a pinhole leak that has developed in a copper pipe below the concrete floor of your home. There are several ways to determine if you have a slab leak:

  • Wet planters near the house
  • Warm spots on the floor
  • Wet baseboards and flooring

Not only will our epoxy repair save you time and money, it will also eliminate any future leaks from this problematic line. Epoxy repair is typically 50%+ cheaper than other alternatives!

FREE inspection: At no cost to you, Nu Flow will perform a visual inspection and a pressure test of your home. Once we have confirmed that a slab leak is present, we can offer you our leak detection service in order to pinpoint the active leak. The goal of our leak detection service is to locate both ends of the leaking line so that our epoxy repair can be made.

How It Works

1

Isolation

To properly repair your active leak we must isolate the line from the plumbing system. This requires two small openings… point A (where the pipe enters the ground) and point B (where the pipe exits the ground).
2

Diagnosis

A pressure test is performed to determine the size of the leak and the number of coats that may be needed to seal the leak.
3

Cleaning

Using dehumidified compressed air we purge out any remaining water and properly dry the pipes. In order ensure good adhesion of the epoxy to the pipe, a safe abrading agent is then blown through the pipe to eliminate any corrosion or build up. The pipe is now clean and ready for epoxy restoration.
4

Epoxy Repair

A calculated measurement of epoxy is then blown through the pipe and air pressure is adjusted to ensure a successful repair of the leak. Following the coating application, conditioned and controlled air flows through the pipes to facilitate epoxy curing.
5

Completion

A final pressure test is performed to confirm that the leak has been repaired. The pipe is then reconnected to the system, and water is turned on. No more leaks!
